I’m supposed to go in for brain surgery and the doctors will drain my cyst. What’s the worst that can happen if I eat food from home instead of from the hospital when I get out off post-op? Sources?

So when i was 6 years old i was diagnosed with epilepsy. Then when i was 9 they did a MRI to find out that i had a brain tumor. So i went and had brain surgery which took care of the problem. Well i would like to join the military like my two older brothers, get myself on a better track in life.

Would it be possible for me to join? considering i haven’t had epilepsy for about ten years as well as i haven’t been on any medications since the surgery?

I just finished my third semester of college. Things have NOT been going well. I started to get severe headaches last spring and my grades have definitely suffered because of it. I’m very, very worried about bringing my GPA up. It is only a 3.0. I’m not sure how I will be able to do it. I’m having brain surgery in a few days and I am hoping that it will stop the headaches (brain cyst). I am very down and sad. Should I talk to a counselor or academic advisor for advice?

I have a friend who is 29 in Houston, TX. He was diagnosed as having cavernous angiomas and recently suffered a stroke. Following the stroke he had some type of brain surgery to try to prevent future strokes. He applied for medicaid, but was denied. He is having a lot of the normal symptoms experienced by stroke victims, and I assume needs physical therapy. He has difficulty walking, feeding himself, etc., and is unable to work. What are his options?
